Olay

Olay (previously Oil of Olay) is an American skin care brand owned by Procter & Gamble
Olay originated in South Africa as Oil of Olay. Graham Wulff (1916–2008), a former Unilever chemist from Durban, started it in 1952. He chose the name "Oil of Olay" as a spin on the word "lanolin", a key ingredient.

Ingredients
The main ingredients used in Olay products include retinyl propionate (vitamin A derivative), glycerin, niacinamide (vitamin B3), broad spectrum sunscreen, and amino peptides.

Procter & Gamble : Head & Shoulders Bare Limited Ingredient Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Procter & Gamble
Head & Shoulders Bare
Procter & Gamble has rolled out  a new anti-dandruff shampoo formulated with just nine ingredients.

The ingredients are:

• Zinc Pyrithione

• Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate

• Lauramidopropyl Betaine

• Cellulosic Polyquaternium

• Acrylate,

• Citric Acid

• Fragrance

• Sodium Benzoate

Head & Shoulders Bare ($9.99) is exclusively sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com.

The new anti-dandruff formula is free from sulfates, silicones and dyes. P&G says it is dermatologically tested and clinically proven and to work across all hair types and deliver the effective dandruff protection expected from Head & Shoulders.

Bare comes in two variations: Pure Clean, a coconut water scented formula for oily scalp and hair; and Soothing Hydration, which has an orchid and aloe scent and is designed for dry scalp and hair.

Head & Shoulders has been on the market for more than 60 years.

The Packaging
Bare’s recyclable bottle contains 45% less plastic and is fully recyclable. It is also designed to be rolled and squeezed, which P&G contends allows consumers to dispense all of the product.

These companies control almost every single beauty product you buy

As consumers, we like to think that we're making a conscious decision when we buy from a certain brand, especially when it comes to something as personal as beauty products.

But it turns out that 182 beauty companies fall under the massive umbrellas of  seven mega-companies — Estée Lauder Companies, L'Oréal, Unilever, Procter and Gamble, Shiseido, Johnson and Johnson, and Coty.
