- Dr. Sheldon Pinnell is the founding scientist of SkinCeuticals. In 1992, Pinnell's research on topical antioxidants led to the first patent for vitamin C and the creation of a new skincare category. In 1994, the company SkinCeuticals was founded based on Pinnell's research at Duke University.
